14-Day Cooling-Off Period

How to Cancel

After Course Commencement

You have the right to cancel your training course booking within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, provided no course materials have been accessed and no training has commenced.

Send an email to info@compliantretrofits.co.uk with “Cancellation Request” in the subject line. Include your name, course name, and order number.

If you cancel after the course has started, no refund will be issued. You may be able to transfer to a future course date (subject to availability and admin fee of £50).

Transfer requests must be made at least 7 days before the original course start date.

Consultancy Services

Pre-Service Cancellation

If you cancel before any work has commenced, you receive a full refund of any deposit paid.

During Service

If you cancel after work has commenced, you will be charged for work completed at our daily or hourly rate as follows:

  • Retrofit assessment (completed): £300-£600
  • Retrofit coordination (in progress): Pro-rated at £500-£1,500 per project
  • Compliance documentation (partial): Pro-rated at £200-£500

We will provide a detailed breakdown of charges upon cancellation.

ECO4 Support

  • If we have not yet submitted your application: 90% refund
  • If we have submitted your application: No refund (work completed)
  • If application is successful: No refund

We will inform you before submitting your application so you can decide whether to proceed.

Home Energy Upgrades

Quotes are provided free of charge. If you decide not to proceed after receiving a quote, there is no charge.

If work has commenced and you cancel, you will be charged for materials and labour already incurred. We will provide a detailed breakdown of incurred costs upon cancellation.

Cooling-Off Period for Home Energy Upgrades

For home energy upgrades, you have a 14-day cooling-off period under consumer protection regulations. If you cancel within 14 days of agreeing to the work, you receive a full refund of any deposit paid (provided no work has commenced).

How Refunds Are Processed

  • Refunds are issued within 14 days of cancellation confirmation
  • Refunds are made to the original payment method
  • Processing time depends on your bank (typically 3-10 business days)

We will send you a confirmation email when your refund has been processed

Exceptions

No refunds will be issued for:

  • Services that have been fully completed
  • Training courses where materials have been accessed or training has commenced
  • ECO4 applications after submission
  • Cancellations made after the 14-day cooling-off period for home energy upgrades where work has commenced

We will explain the reason for any refund refusal in writing.
